Becky Nicks' Junior Pioneer Scholarship

The Becky Nicks’ Junior Pioneer Scholarship honors the memory of Becky Nicks, a beloved Old Shawnee Days volunteer whose dedication, kindness, and commitment to community helped shape one of Shawnee’s most cherished traditions. Becky exemplified the spirit of service, leadership, and pride in Shawnee, and this scholarship continues her legacy by supporting the next generation of community leaders.

Old Shawnee Days is awarding a $2,500 scholarship to two deserving Shawnee-area high school students who are either a junior or senior and demonstrate:

· Leadership in school or community activities
· Commitment to volunteerism and service
· Academic achievement
· Strong character and future goals

This scholarship recognizes students who reflect Becky’s spirit by giving back, supporting their community, and working toward a bright future.
Recipients will be recognized as part of the Old Shawnee Days celebration, joining a proud tradition of honoring Shawnee’s history while investing in its future.

Eligibility: Students who live in Shawnee or attend a Shawnee school and are currently high school juniors or seniors are encouraged to apply.
